Last nite I found this awesome card sketch blog called Card Patterns. Very inspiring and awesome site!
Here is what I created for their sketch #86
This is a a 5 by 6.25 inch card. I used patterned papers from My Minds eye and cut them into 1 and 2 inch strips. I then used my sewing machine ( Am using it almost everyday now!!!) to stitch them into place. The title was downloaded from Paper Crafts and the ribbon is from Stamping up. Isn’t the ribbon simply beautiful?
I used a scalloped paper edger by Provo craft, and then inked the edges. The silver brads are from Making memories.
The brads are a totally faking their use here. When the card is opened, I did not want the brad show through. So, the brad just goes through the ribbon, and not the card itself. I then used glue dots exactly beneath the brads to glue the ribbon in place.
The photographs I took aren’t really showcasing the true colors… So here is an extra image…
