A card to make you smile today with the Play Date Cafe colors,
The color combo challenge was red, lime and grey. It is such an amazing color palette that I had to try my hand at it at once!
I am not huge flower maker, but these days that is changing. I find myself trying to make flowers out of different textures all the time– paper, felt, fabric and now tissue paper! The tissue paper idea came from Tissue Paper Magic Challenge in the Moxie Fab World
To make these flowers, I cut out strips of tissue paper. Since I did not have red paper, I inked my white tissue paper red. This also allowed me to get a depth of color, with light and dark areas. I then crumpled and folded the papers and curved them into rounds.
Adhered some printed paper in between two tissue layers and a button and flower brad to top each flower. Here is a closeup view of the flowers,
The background grey paper, I folded and cut into shape. I need to invest in a good die cutting machine soonSupplies used: Paper: My Minds eye, coredinations Brads: Making Memories Buttons: Colorbok Sentiment: October Afternoon Pen: uniball stamp: scrapabilities tissue paper, ink pad.
