{in mommy’s tummy}

May 19, 2011

By the end of this week, I hit the 30 week mark in this pregnancy. I can no longer see my toes and need a ridiculous number of pillows (a body pillow, a wedge, few pillows to prop my feet up…) to sleep at nite. I am ready (and totally terrified) to meet this new baby. Things are gonna change big time around here soon!

Being pregnant the second time, to me has been just as special and emotional as the first one. And all the feelings are still brand new. I love that this baby is so responsive to us already and  gets all excited during big sis’ bedtime routine. I read stories and big sis chimes in with all the words she knows, and the baby loves our voices and kicks all around!

Now for some cratfy talk. Here is what I did for the One hour challenge at Club CK. It was a tough one. But I attacked it, and in the end have a wonderful layout, one that I really love :)

This is the first layout I have made about the second baby we are expecting. I am thinking of making this the opening page of the new babys first year scrapbook. Lets see how things goes.

I started this layout with a sketch from Sketchy Thursday, which also had an inspiration photo attached,

I love the gilded cups in the photo. So I tried and brought hints of gold using ink in my layout as well. I created the colorful border on my layout using a corner punch on 2 by 2 inch squares of patterned paper. I got this idea from here. The designer there made pretty doily like flowers, but I chose to keep things simple and square.  Selecting what papers to use here was the best part of making this layout; that was half the fun :)

This layout also works perfectly for this Tuesday Trigger from the Moxie Fab world, great colors right?

After that things fell into place quickly, and I added the title and journaling. I have to say  though, the title of this layout is amazing and I am so glad I found this quote “For now in mommy’s tummy, forever in her heart”.

Today at the Paper crafts blog they are welcoming the new designers who got their cards published in their new Card Creations volume 9 and my name is there! Also my pink card is one of the featured cards on the Create blog. My blog has been busy today!
