Our new baby is 17 days old today and our little girl is just 17 days away from turning two years old! Yup, we have a birthday coming soon! Time sure is flying fast…
Yesterday, I got a nice block of time to sit and craft for the first time after the baby was born. It was so much fun to be back with my papers and so very relaxing. I got a bunch of cards done!
I recently got my hands on some truly amazing products by Graphic 45. If you haven’t already, you might want to like Graphic 45’s facebook page, just so that you can see all the beautiful products they have. I still have their ‘a proper gentlemen’ unopened, will sit and play with that someothere day. I see a lot of ‘DAD’ projects coming out of that kit! Anyhow here are 4 cards that I made using mostly Graphic 45 papers and Fiskar tools,
The first card was based on the sketch for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #15. I love how this card turned out, the colors work so well together.
The second card, is based on the sketch for Card Patterns Challenge #128. I used a lot of ribbons here– lace, satin and printed ribbon. I hand stitched the black ribbon into uneven frills here– it is super easy to do, and takes just two minutes (though it did take me longer to find my needle and thread!)
The third card I made just because I loved the color of these papers.…
The last card, is based on the color combo for the Play date cafe challenge #94. Bright and beautiful colors, and a simple card to make using a butterfly punch.
