Here is the tutorial I promised yesterday, on how I made this little book…
To begin with, I started with a small composition book that I bought at Target, and some graphic 45 papers…
I trimmed the black paisley printed paper to cover the book all around and adhered it with some mod podge. I then trimmed some other pretty patterned papers into strips to fit just the front of the book.
I then punched offsetted circles from the strips. If you look closely above, you can see that I have marked where I want each circle’s centers to be…
Next, I adhered the strips onto the book with mod podge.
I finally added some circles, hearts, distressed the whole front with some ink and added a butterfly.
And thats it, a tiny little pretty journal/book is ready to fit into your purse!

/ February 27, 2012what a great little notebook — I like that it’s darker colored and wouldn’t look as dirty in your purse or something like that!
