{you make me smile}

I havent played along with the Play date cafe col­ors for a while now, but this weeks col­ors inspired me to make a card…

Some­thing about that but­ter­fly enchants me For this hybrid card I used ele­ments for the New Bohemian Col­lec­tion by Pink Paislee, avail­able at JessicaSprague

I also have been try­ing to mak­ing more scrap­book­ing lay­outs, and less cards, just so that I can fill the albums I have been work­ing on…  A lay­out, a tra­di­tional paper lay­out, takes about 4 or 5 sit­tings, and feels like for­ever… This is the lay­out I have been work­ing on for the past cou­ple of days, again using scraps of Stu­dio Calico’s board­walk kit…

Lots of tiny punched ele­ments, and some hearts and butterflies…

I love that I am try­ing to fin­ish up the kit. That made me use these black chalk­board jour­nal­ing tags that I always would look at, but never actu­ally grab to use…

This photo was taken on my phone, one night late late at night, while the baby was up for a feed. And I remem­ber just sit­ting there, and hold­ing her, cud­dling her and mar­vel­ling at how in the quiet­ness of the night, she seemed so fragile…
