Hi everyone! Hello fellow Project lifers! As many of you know, this year I am doing Project life digitally. And monthly instead of weekly (you can read more about that in my first PLpost here). But as a bonus, for February I also made a two page spread layout of all the photos I took for Ali Edwards “a day in the life”
(click on image to see enlarged version)
It took me almost a month to get this layout done. There were a lot of photos taken and it took a long time to chose from them and then figure out a placement that I liked.
I used two of the “Quote cards” from my last weeks Friday Freebie (you can download them here); the “I will look back at this and smile” & “do more of what makes you happy” ones. I love the fun color it adds to my layout! I also used one of the “everyday” journaling cards, that I have been working on this weekend. The everyday series of 3 by 4 inch printables will be available for this weeks Friday Freebie. If you are interested come back to my blog on friday, or better yet go and like/ follow me on facebook or twitter to get updates!
The “a day in the life” overlay was a free download from Ali Edwards site here.
I also used some of the eclectic journaling cards by Splendid Fiins (available at www.jessicasprague.com))
A day in the life was a fun project to undertake, but it was very daunting as well. I kept my camera handy on the kitchen counter, and my husband and I just kept shooting pics of whatever interested us. It sounds simple in theory, but some how took more thought and energy. But I think it will be interesting to look back at these photos in the future and see how our daily lives have changed. Lots of the daily simple stuff never get scrapbooked, and this was a fun approach to take on a days worth of photos.
I am also joining in on the Project life Tuesday at The Mom Creative! I love the energy they have here and I also love that it gives me a deadline. Since my Project life is going to be monthly, I will be posting on the second Tuesday each month…
