{Project Life: Week 3: She Crafts + Free Printable}

And by “she” I dont mean me. It’s my daugh­ter doing the craft­ing

This week is a two page spread.

On the left hand page: I used two of the Sim­ple story pock­ets on the top row. The “Word of the week” in the mid­dle row, was a free print­able from a cou­ple of weeks ago (which you can down­load here). The Cre­ativ­ity quote is part of the free quotes col­lec­tion by Elise Blaha Cripe (I love her blog!!! And her project life approach!). The “mother” quote in the bot­tom row is part of this weeks free down­load (scroll down to snag it). The ” I love every­thing about you” is a free down­load from here. This is one of those pins, that went from “pinned it” to “printed it” in a day!

I wrote my jour­nal­ing on these small tags and stuck them into those Sim­ple Sto­ries pockets.

Now, the right hand spread– is all about the art projects my girl made. She draws, paints, doo­dles and that pocket under the She crafts, she made that all by her­self one after­noon while I was scrap­book­ing. She does make a big dent in my adhe­sive supplies…

This spread was a quick one because I used up papers from my 6 by 6 paper pad col­lec­tion (I hoard these pads, not col­lect). All of these papers came  from Dear Lizzy’s Fifth and Frolic.

This week I also didnt round the cor­ners because my assis­tant (as in daugh­ter) was asleep while I worked on this spread. And later, I real­ized I liked my cor­ners un-rounded. Who knew?

And with this, I am call­ing Jan­u­ary done. I know there are more days left, but its really cold here and we aren’t doing much that needs to be doc­u­mented in pho­tographs. So I am call­ing it done and am look­ing for­ward to start­ing my feb pages

Supplies: I am print­ my pho­tos (and the PL cards) at home using my Canon 9000 pro series. I use this paper by Canon- which is sim­ply amaz­ing!!! It is a matte paper and has the look and feel of card­stock. This printer/paper combo is the main rea­son Project life is work­ing for me this year.  I am also using this new cor­ner rounder by Fiskars. My album and page pro­tec­tors, I got at Tar­get and are the We R mem­ory keep­ers brand. I am try­ing to main­tain a con­sis­tant jour­nal­ing font this time, and am using Hel­vetica Neue. I do all my dig­i­tal pro­cess­ing in Adobe Pho­to­shop Cs5.
