Uh oh, indeed.
Our little one says that over and over all day long. In the cutest possible way, that will make you smile no matter what she has done.
And it was the apt word of the week for Week 9.
That friday was supposed to be our fun day, and my darling husband had taken the day off. But — I fell ill.
Uh oh.
I was sick to my stomach and exhausted. I threw up all day long. With both my daughter’ pregnancies I was nauseaous from day 1 to day 150. So the first thought my husband and I had was ‘are we pregnant?’
Uh oh.
Our question was answered in great haste, when the next morning at 4am the baby threw up. All over the the bed. And all over me. Uh oh. Atleast we arent pregnant. Phew!
The whole weekend was then a be sick: do laundry, repeat cycle. Our older one wasnt hit as badly as me and the baby, but her tummy was bad too.
All in all, whatever the bug was, it lasted 48 hours and we all snuggled in and got some much needed down time.
End of story.
Now lets get back to this weeks spread. Here is how it looks…
The right hand page is a 12 by 12 Design G like page protector that came in this We R Memory Keepers Multi Pack
. It has a funny 2 inch long strip, which became a beautiful way to add a pop of color to this spread.

Lots of kraft, black and white this week. Kraft papers were by Pink Paislee (they are no longer selling digital products) and some absolutely fun B&W PL cards by Ange Designs (pin here). I also used my Word of the week card and the That’s what she said card in here.
National Craft Month got a mention in the spread this week too.
I did a little bit of letterpressing using the Fuse with this and this die. A very light tone on tone inking.

Things that I reached for for this spread: Glitter thickers, my favorite black pen and the Tiny attacher.
Things I did differently this week: I kept a lot of white space on this spread. Not because I didn’t have enough photos, I actually nixed two extra photos, but because I wanted to tell a simple story this week. Not clutter it with too many details.
Things I loved on this spread: Lots of handwriting + the teal/aqua color + the letterpressing. I am a sucker for pressed paper
Things that worked for me on this spread: After last weeks “Purple” craze, I wanted very little color on this spread (understandable, right?) and I wanted this spread to be easy/quick to complete. So no layering of paper, no tiny embellishments. Simple photos + journaling.
Which leads me to this weeks freebie, the grid journaling cards. I am obsessed with these cards and since I wasn’t able to buy or find what I wanted– I sat down and made them for myself in Photoshop.
And I am sharing them with you

I forgot to take a photo of a blank grid card, but here is how it looks with writing over it. You get the idea right

/ March 12, 2013I love this white space look! I hope you are all feeling better. Nothing worse than when Mummy is sick too. I have used that WRMK sleeve recently too. I wasn’t sure about the skinny strip but it realy adds a pop of colour to the spread.

/ March 21, 2013Thanks for all the great printables you offer. Can you do a blog post about printing them? I’m having great difficulty getting them to print 3x4 for my Project Life. I just can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Thanks!
