If you are like me and love pinterest- you will totally understand where this post is coming from.
For the past month or so, I have been putting pinterest to good use and actually trying out some new recipes.
I mean, everything looks so good on pinterest, you want to try them all! That’s the whole reason you are pinning them right? Lately, I have been consciously making more time to cook better meals and here are a few things I have tried and LOVED!
This sandwich with the star in the center? A big hit with the girls. I was inspired by this image in pinterest. I then went ahead and made a whole star themed meal. The kids kept singing “Twinkle twinkle little star” – and requested to have this meal again the next day!
The.best.chocolote.cake ever: We had to go to brunch and meet new friends one saturday, for which me and my daughter baked cupcakes in the afternoon. After the kids went to bed, the cupcakes didnt really look that great (maybe because it was strawberry flavored?) so I decided to bake a chocolate cake to take instead. So at 1am in the night I found this recipe and made it. No mixer required (which is big for me, because who likes washing extra dishes at 2am in the night?). And it turned out SO amazingly moist and yummy. Pioneer Woman has the best recipes
I ran out of cocoa powder to make the Pioneer woman frosting so I used this recipe instead. It turned out to be a great batch of frosting.
(this is where I would insert photo of said cake. But I unfortunately can’t find it. That cake was so delicious, I probably ate the photo late at night….)
I then tried her carrot cake recipe too– yummy and moist!
The other day, I made Paneer butter masala (Cheese in a tomato gravy)– pinned here. The recipe is awfully easy if you have all the ingredients. It made the most awesome dinner
I also tried out this yummy strawberry mohito recipe recently. Love!
