On Instagram, under my @smithakatti handle, I have been lettering 30 happiness quotes every day for this month. I have them all in this altered Moleskine journal (find the tutorial here : How to Decorate a Journal Cover) that I have aptly titled “30 days of happiness quotes”

I love hand lettering– it brings together two of my joys: Typography and Color. And these happiness quotes are just my jam. I love playing with different fonts, colors, and brushes.
I am using a kraft Moleskine journal that is blank on the inside and it also has a pocket on the back flap! I love this one, the pages are a bit translucent and I kinda love it for that reason. The paper is smooth so it is great to use with Tombow Dual Brush pens.
This project can be as simple or as dramatic as YOU want it to be. You can make a book of it as I did, or you can simply write down the quotes each day on a scrap piece of paper on hand. Anything works as long as you are writing the words 🙂
This has been a great project for me- I love taking 15 minutes to myself every evening to sit down and write down a quote. I am a big believer in writing things down to remind me what to focus on and be thankful for.
So now it is your turn! Join in! You can start this challenge on any day of the month, any year. Or start at the beginning of a month. You will end up skipping a few days in between, life happens, but just pick yourself right up and continue when you can. This project is about finding yourself through your art and words- there are no deadlines, no rules.
