I LOVE using the smaller sets of Dual brush pens- there are just 10 colors to choose from, and ALL of these colors are co ordinated and go well with each other. When I have just 30 minutes to create, I don’t want to waste it on choosing colors. Today I am using the Tombow Dual Brush pen in Pastel colors but there are many more color schemes you can choose from. Check them all out here.
1. Marker Art or Coloring:
The Tombow dual brush pastel set has 9 pretty soft pastel colors and pulled them all out today to do my #homwork for Lauren Hom’s lettering challenge. I love her weekly prompts and have been enjoying them since January. See all of my lettering for this challenge by clicking on the hashtag #skhomwork
Of course, I popped my camera on top of my tripod and filmed the whole start to finish process of this piece. I started with a blank sheet in my Strathmore Mixed Media sketchbook and then created a pencil sketch of what I wanted to letter. Then I used the brush tip of the Tombow dual brush pastel pens and colored everything in quickly. I would have liked to have added more detail and shading but I didn’t have all that much time. I had fun creating this, it made me happy and I will take that 🙂

2. Brush Lettering
The second and more popular way to use these Tombow dual brush pastel pens is to do brush lettering. I shared a video with this exact set of pens a while ago and you can see how the colors look amazing together as words. You must check out the video below!
