I asked on Instagram whether you guys would be interested to read a Make a pretty life kit review and the answer was a whopping 100% YES. So here we go!

We just got back from our amazing Grand Canyon trip and I really wanted to document it sooner rather than later.

I happened to stumble upon this beautiful image on the @makeaprettylife insta feed and fell in love instantly 😍

This kit is perfect to document a summer vacation!! I hit the buy button quickly and then started planning layouts in my mind. It arrived in about 7 to 8 days which is so awesome!

Why buy a kit?

I’ve been a memory keeper all my life. I started ‘scrapbooking‘ after giving birth to my first baby, but I was cutting and pasting photos much before that. I just didn’t know it was called that then.

These days I’m a big fan of buying my scrapbooking supplies as a kit. As a busy mom, sorting, selecting, and printing the photos itself takes up a lot of time.

I like that when you buy a kit, everything is pre-chosen for you. All the elements coordinate well with each other.

That just speeds up the documenting process for me. And I get a lot more memories preserved in the given amount of time.

I also LOVE that each kit comes with unique items that always delight me. Like in this kit, this jumbo paper clip is so gorgeous!

Make a Pretty life kit review: This kit is also jam-packed with paper die cuts. Almost all were travel-themed and perfect for the road trip album I have planned.

Many people buy kits because they come with exclusive stamp sets. That’s not a major selling point for me because I am not a big stamper, but even I love the stamp set included in this kit.

I also like that these kits come with pre-cut ribbons and other texture items. Yes, I have a ton of ribbon in my stash already. But getting a new pretty ribbon that is trendy and cool is a lot of fun!

That’s another thing about kits. For me at least, when I splurge and buy a pretty kit of papers and embellishment I am more likely to use up everything in that kit and quickly.

The idea is to print up the photos and then have my kids write down stories and memories with me. It’s a good idea to have a plan in mind before buying a kit- if not these kits can pile up quickly in your craft room!
