Supplies You’ll Need
- Colorful cardstock or construction paper (red, pink, and green work great!)
- Glue stick or white glue
- Heart paper punch (or pre-cut foam hearts). I used a heart squeeze punch to create all those paper hearts. If you have a die cut machine, you can use that too to cut out a sheet of hearts.
- Scissors and a black marker
Valentine Bookmark Craft for Classroom Tutorial:
- Punch out the hearts. Cut or punch out five red or pink hearts for the flower petals and two green hearts for leaves.
- Create the bookmark stem. Cut a green strip of paper about 1 inch wide and 8 inches long, this becomes the base of your bookmark.
- Build the heart flower. Glue the petals in a circle to form a flower. Add a small circle in the center for a pop of color.
- Assemble everything. Attach your flower to the top of the green stem and glue the leaves near the bottom.
- Add a personal touch. Have students write “Happy Valentine’s Day” or sign their name, it makes each bookmark feel special!
