How To Add Scarf Fringe
Adding fringe is one of the easiest ways to finish a handmade scarf and this scarf fringe tutorial for beginners is perfect if you’re brand new to crochet or knitting.
TOOLS
- 1 Pair of Scissors
- 1 Crochet Hook
- 1 Acrylic Square Ruler or you can trim a 6 inch piece of cardboard
Supplies
- 1 skein Yarn in any color of your choice
Instructions
- Wind your scarf fringe yarn around the 6 inches ruler
- Using a sharp pair of long scissors cut the yarn along one edge to create the strands for the fringe
- Holding 5 strands of folded cut yarn, pull the loop through the edge of the scarf using a crochet hook or your fingers.
- Equally space out the scarf fringes. Repeat this along both the edges of the scarf.
- Using a pair of sharp scissors carefully trim the fringe edges on the bottom to create a neat even line.
