How to Draw a Butterfly Blue:
In this lesson, lets draw a simple butterfly
Step 1: Use a few different blue colors, draw and fill out your basic butterfly shape. The different blues add a great variation and detail element.

Step 2: Using a fine liner pen outline the butterfly shape and start drawing more details. Grab the printable below for a step-by-step guide.

Step 3: Now using a black pen or marker, add black details onto the butterfly. This black contrasts so beautifully against the color and makes the illustration pop!

Step 4: The last step is to add some finishing details like small white dots and dashes onto the wings. I used a chalk marker for that here, but any white pen will work!

How to Draw a Butterfly Side View
For this butterfly, we do not draw the wings symmetrically, instead, we only see one wing in the foreground and the other is seen partially behind.
