🎨 How to draw a Diya- Step by Step tutorial
You only need a pencil (or pen), paper and optional coloring materials.
1. Draw the base shape: Start with a wide, shallow “U” shape. Then close the top by drawing two curved arcs that meet in the middle to form a pointed center.
2. Add the back outline: Behind the initial “U” draw a second curved line connecting the outer edges. This gives the diya depth and shape.
3. Sketch the flame: Draw three teardrop shapes, one inside the other, rising above the diya’s top.
4. Decorate and embellish: Add small patterns like dots, lines, curved designs across the body of the diya to personlize it.

Color in your Diya with crayons, pencils or paint and have fun! For a more softer watery look, try creating a Diwali watercolor painting on thicker mixed media papers to express your artistic side.
