supplies you will need:
Grab your watercolor cakes, a paint brush and watercolor paper. I’m using Camlin Kokuyo Water Colour Cakes, a Round 5 paintbrush and a Canson XL Series Watercolor Pad today.
Diwali Watercolor Painting Step By Step:
Step 1: Begin painting an outline of the bottom of the diya. Then add the traditional lip to the diya.
Step 2: Flood color into the shape. Add enough water to get the color moving and drop color into it. You can create more interest by mixing two colors to create a gradient of color.
Step 3: Paint the back of the diya shape by connecting the two ends.
Step 4: Flood the diya center with color. Next paint a flame in the center using orange and yellow colors.
Step 5: To decorate the diya painting, quickly press a cotton swab into the wet paint to create white dots. You could instead use a white paint or white pen to draw this too.
And that is your finished Diwali Watercolor Painting!
