To get the best quality print of the countdown calendar I would recommend using a thicker paper like a white card stock.

Free Printable Advent Calendar Display Idea:

One of my favorite setups: fill each envelope with a prompt, seal it, glue or tape numbers on each envelope, and arrange them in a photo frame over the glass. Write “DECEMBER” across the top with a chalk marker. But you don’t need anything fancy, simply fold the prompts, toss them in a jar, let someone pick them each day, however you choose, the joy is in the doing

I used a pack of scalloped envelopes and filled each one with an activity from the Printable Advent Calendar prompts. To seal the envelopes I used a paper die cut tree.

You can use any method of display- or simply even print these prompts, fold them and fill a jar with it. Or make a DIY Paper village for each prompt to sit in along with some chocolate.

I finally glued the numbers onto each envelope and adhered them onto the front of a photo frame (on top of the glass itself) temporarily using a tape adhesive.

Finish it off by lettering the title “december” with a chalk marker, that can be wiped off next month.

TIP: You can adapt this to fit your christmas season and make it a 12 day countdown instead of 25.

There are 25 fun prompts to bond and spend some quality time with your family. I honestly feel that this is so much better than stuffing your advent calendar with candy or tiny toys. Once you print out all these prompts, you can make a gift tag advent calendar, something fancier, or even just cut out each prompt with a scissors and fill a jar to make it simpler.

I personally think that all of these prompts would be perfect for kids of all ages! I am really excited about the “look through photos of this year” advent activity. Many of these are things we always do in December already- like bake cookies, visit Santa, or watch frozen, but opening an envelope a day just makes it feel more special right?

I hope you enjoy this printable advent calendar and that it helps make your holiday season special, full of creativity, connection, and joyful memories.

Happy holidays! ✨
