Hello friends! In today’s tutorial, you will learn a quintessential knitter skill- How to Knit Cables. This is an easy-to-master technique- if you know how to knit and purl I’ll teach you the rest!
Learning how to knit cables opens up so many options! You can use these cables in Knit Scarf, Knitted Blankets, Pillow Covers; they look beautiful on sweaters!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED :
- Knitting Needles: The yarn I’m using called for a US size 11, 9mm needle. I’m using a Bamboo Knitting Needle from this set.
- Cable Needle
- Yarn : I’ve used Wool Ease Thick and Quick in Fisherman colorway here.

How to Knit Cables Tutorial:
Cast on 12 stitches
Row 1 and 3: Knit
All Even Rows: K3, P6, K3
Row 5: Cable Row: K3, Slip next 3 stitches onto Cable Needle and place in front of work, K3, Slip the 3 stitches from Cable Needle back onto the left knitting needle, K6
Repeat these 6 Rows repeatedly to knit your cables!
Cable Knit Pillow Pattern:

Supplies needed: One skein Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn, Size11- 9mm circular or straight needles large enough to accommodate stitches, Cable needle, Felt cut to measure 14.5 by 28.5 inches, Crochet hook, Fairfield Poly-Fil Lumbar Pillow form measuring 14 by 28 inches.
