Tips for taking great Maple leaf photos
A few tips to capture photos of leaves during the autumn season:
- Create contrast: Place a colorful leaf on wood, asphalt, bridges, etc to create a great depth of contrast.
- Look for interesting elements in the background- like cracks in the asphalt, some rusted screws or bolts, or any kind of texture. Any kind of texture will add more interest to the photographs you take.
- Take Maple leaf photos of the leaves in all stages! Some yellow, some orange, some red, and some with even green in it still.
- Explore the lighting options- take photos in even clean light. For more dramatic shadows try taking photos during sunrise or sunset!
- Place a nice fresh maple leaf on top of a pile of dried leaves to create some drama.
