Bring texture, pattern and colors together to make some special Mixed Media Cards today!
Pull out your Mixed Media Art supplies and lets get crafting! This one is all about using your stamps differently. Sure, we all pull out our stamps but think differently.
But here I talk about using watercolors to stamp. And while you are at it, why not try stamping on something other than paper? Have you tried stamping on fabric?
Mixed Media card Making tutorial:
Step 1: Punch border from cardstock using the AdvantEdge border punch and Dotted Herringbone Large Punch Cartridge. I used a basic cardstock here; you want to use something that is a bit heavy in weight so that it can act as a nice stencil.
Step 2: Using watercolors with very little water on your brush and the stencil we just created add some paint onto the card front.
Step 3: Cut various sizes of hearts from different patterned papers using the Amplify Mixed Media 6 inch Shears. Also, punch another border from the same punch from some vellum.
Step 4: Layer the hearts using dimensional adhesive and add sentiment beneath to complete the card.
These Mixed Media cards are easy to make and have so many layers! I hope you enjoy making them 🙂
