2 Sympathy card ideaS that are quick to make

Sharing a sympathy card idea today- using mute and somber colors to convey our sorrow.

I first painted my background ombre on a kraft cardstock using thick acrylic paint. If you observe closely you will see the background ombre goes from (top to bottom) a dark grey color to a white color. I then used this chevron mask by Prima to add the chevrons. The chevrons go from a grey tone to a completely black color.

I die cut and pressed the little label using a new Fiskars die and the Fuse. I then stamped my sentiment using this All year greetings stamp by  Fiskars on some purple cardstock (I am sure you remember that Purple PL spread I made using the Bazzil Cardstock pack? Well, I have plenty left still 🙂

I stamped the sentiment using a couple of different black inks but this one was the best ink by far! Crisp and clean stamping. Which almost never happens when I craft!

I started a couple of layouts too, but the paint was really thick on them so they need to dry overnight. Which I am fine with. But they probably won’t get done till next weekend now 🙂

I got a huge chunk of time this afternoon to craft and I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of it. Not a second of it was wasted in cleaning up!

It was such a joy to craft a project from start to end without having to stop in between. Of late, I have only got chunks of crafting time- ten minutes here and there. So today, I cut paper, got my hands inky, and pulled out my paints with complete disregard to time 🙂

What have you wonderful people been crafting lately?

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzil Basics
Stencil/Mask: Prima
Paint: Liquitex
Sentiment: Fiskars
Diecut: Fiskars FUSE
Brads: Making memories
Adhesive: Glue dots (pop up)

Here is another Sympathy card idea: muted blacks and pinks
