To make these crochet flowers, you will need to know a few basic crochet stitches– how to chain, how to double crochet, how to half double crochet and how to treble crochet.
1. Crochet Flower Small Pattern:
This small crochet flower measures approximately 2.25 inches wide. Here Color A= center, Color B= petals
With Color A: Ch 4, join with a slip stitch into the first chain to make a ring (image 01)
Row 1: Ch 1, 7 hdc into ring, close circle with a slip stitch into first hdc (image 02)
Row 2: Join Color B with a slip stitch into any hdc. Ch 1, Into each hdc below make * 1hdc,1dc,1hdc, and a slip stitch, ch1*- repeat 7 times (image 03)
Close the circle by joining with a slip stitch to the first hdc beneath first petal (image 04)


2. Crochet Flower Large Pattern:
This large crochet flower measures approximately 3.5 inches wide. Here Color A= center, Color B= petals
With Color A: Ch 4, join with a slip stitch into the first chain to make a ring (image 01)
Row 1: Ch2 – this counts as our first double crochet (or dc), dc into the ring, chain 1. This forms our first cluster. Then, *2dc, ch1* 5 times into the ring. Complete the circle with a slip stitch to the top of the initial chain 2. Cut the yarn and pull through (image 02)
Row 2: Join Color B with a slip stitch into any Ch1 space below. Ch 1, Into each and every Ch 1 space below make * 1hdc,1dc,1tr, 1dc, 1hdc, and a slip stitch into the space, ch1* – repeat 7 times (image 03)
Close the circle by joining with a slip stitch to the first ch 1 beneath first petal (image 04)


You can layer a small crochet flower on top of the large crochet flower and sew them together to create a crochet appliqued flower!
