10 Easy DIY Thank You Cards

1. A Card Making Idea With Scraps: For this card, I picked up all the paper leftovers of my Studio Calico kit and then arranged them on the card front. Finished the card off with a bold sentiment that I adhered to a cute little tag. This is the best way to kill a kit 🙂

2. Add doilies: This is a quick way to add dainty prettiness to your card. Cut a doily or two in half and adhere to your card. Add a sentiment to finish it off. Doilies are a great inexpensive craft supply and here are more paper doily craft ideas.

3. Pull out your embossing powders and have fun! For this card I used a fun heat debossing technique that uses stickers for masking. This is a fun way to use that heat gun you might own!

4. Punch Paper shapes: You can easily make DIY Thank You Cards but punching shapes and adhering it. This is a great way to reduce waste of paper. Whenever I have a small corner of patterned paper left over, I like to punch out simple shapes from it and place them into a small bowl on my desk. I like shapes like petals, circles, teardrops, and leaves.

5. Add drama with ribbon! A ribbon can make a card look grand so easily! Add a bow, pleat a ribbon or as I did here create a ribbon focal point. The ribbon I used here is transparent and the layering looks so beautiful, but if you use a satin ribbon that would be so gorgeous too!

6. Mix and Match pretty patterned papers! Create a grid and add different patterned papers to make a colorful and interesting card front! This is a great card to use up small leftover pretty paper bits, and has a patchwork quilt vibe that is classic!

7. Make a large flower! Flowers are so pretty and easy to make! I also added a little interest to the background with a cut out patterned paper. Check out my previous tutorial 5 easy Flowers Make with paper!

8. Use Flower Die Cuts: This Card looks so special and easily customizable with paint. Layer multiple thick papers that you can customize with soft colors of your choice. The dimension on this card is so beautiful in real life and the recipient will definitely want to put this on display!

9. For this card I used basic supplies, just 3 or 4 colored markers. Simply write the word “thanks” in a cursive fashion and color in as seen.

10. Try painting simple watercolor florals and then decorate the card further by stitching on paper for a cute card!
